Grand Prix.comによれば、Cristiano da Mattaが事故で重態のようである。(T_T)

Former F1 driver Cristiano da Matta is in intensive care in a hospital in Neenah, Wisconsin, after his Champ Car collided with a deer during a test session at Road America on Thursday. Da Matta was unconscious when he was airlifted to hospital after the crash and underwent surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain.

The 32-year-old former Champ Car champion started the season with Dale Coyne Racing but recently moved to the Rusport team, as team mate to another former F1 man Justin Wilson.

Cristiano da Matta is in a critical condition after brain surgery in hospital in Wisconsin after an accident in testing at the Road America circuit at Elkhart Lake. The Brazilian suffered head injuries when he hit a deer that had got onto the race track from the woods beside the track. The accident happened between turns five and six and eyewitness reports suggest that the Champ Car hit the animal with its right front wheel. The carcass of the deer then hit the driver and the car went off into the tyre barriers at Turn 6. Rescue crews were on the scene immediately and Da Matta was extracted from the car and flown by helicopter to the Theda Clark Memorial Hospital in nearby Neenah where he underwent emergency surgery.

It remains to be seen if there is any permanent damage.

虫干しシリーズ第３弾！

う〜ん、マニアは健在なのだろうか？
まさかまさか、こんなビデオを今の世で観ることが出来るとは思ってもいなかったのである。



これは８０年代に活躍した、関西出身のプログレッシブ・ロックバンド"Novella"。
なんだか大学生の文化祭のビデオのようだが、アマチュアのホームビデオ撮影のようだから仕方ないであろう。
同系の音の好きな人たちからは絶大な支持を受け、小生も「魅惑劇」と「イン・ザ・ナイト」のアルバム２枚は持っているのである。当時の日本には稀有な存在のバンドだったように思う。まだまだ「ビジュアル系」なんていう言葉のない頃であるから、こうした派手な格好は目立ったのである。(^-^;

ただ、今にして思えば、何が「プログレッシブ」だったんだろう？と思わざるをえない。
確かに「魅惑劇」のアルバムジャケットは美しく、奏でる音楽は壮大で格好よかったが、果たしてそれだけで「プログレッシブ」と言えるのだろうか、と思ってしまう。
この後人気が出た「Ｘ-Ｊａｐａｎ」と、内容自体は大差ないような気がするのだが・・・。
人々の記憶には残ったバンドだったが、人々の意識変革まで起こしたかと言われると「？」である。そこまで持って行って初めてプログレッシブと言えるのではないか・・・・な〜んてね。

久しぶりにこうした音を聴くと、懐かしくもあるが、無性に疲れるのは歳のせい？(^▽^;)
